What is the technology and how does this deodorizer work?

DownyPaws Smart Cat Litter Box Deodorizer's eliminator contains a negatively charged ion generator which releases deodorizing and dust-reducing ions. Equipped with a highly sensitive biosensor to capture pet's movements of entering and exiting a certain area. When your pet approaches, the odor eliminator will be automatically turned off. When your pet leaves the area, the deodorizing process will resume.

Where can I put this deodorizer?

You can place this product inside or outside of your cat's litter box, pet's crate, or small, enclosed areas such as bathroom and cabinets.

How do I charge?

You can conveniently charge this product with the USB cable provided. Before your first use, charge the product for 2-3 hours with the 5V1A adapter. Please note that this product doesn't work with fast charging.

Will odor disappear as soon as I start using this product?

You will probably not be able to notice obvious improvements until after 1-2 days, and the difference will become significant.

How often do I need to charge this product?

This product comes with a 4000mAh batteries, which will provide up to 15 days of usage. So expect to recharge every 2 weeks.

Will the light indicator be really disturbing at night?

The indicator light is designed to be soft and pet-friendly.

What if my cat scratches it?

The deodorizer is made with durable plastic and is secured to the wall with a snap lock attached to the wall with adhesive tapes (provided, with 2 extra replacements).

How big is the deodorizer?

It's relatively compact and measures just 9.2 cm X 9.2 cm X 4 cm (3.6 in X 3.6 in X 1.6 in)

Is this product heavy? Will it fall off the wall?

This product is really light - weighs just 180g secured to the wall with a snap lock.

How do I set it up?

1. Install the base plate of the snap lock. Use a dry cloth to clean the surface before installing. For litter areas, it is best to place the product 20-40cm from the cat litter box.

2. Pressing the power switch at the back. The blue light will flash twice to indicate that the product has been turned on.

3. Align the deodorizer to the base plate and turn it clockwise until it is secured.

What is included in the package?

The package includes the product (deodorizer), 1 USB charging cable, 1 snap lock base plate, 2 extra adhesive tapes and a user manual.

Do I need to remove from the wall to charge the device?

Yes, you will have to remove the device from the base plate to charge. 

Can I replace the batteries?

No, batteries for this product are not replaceable.

Is there any filter inside and would I need to replace it?

No, this product does not use any filter but the latest ion ion decomposition technology to deodorize and purify odor.

Does it come with a warranty?

Where is this product made?

This product is made in China.

Will it work in my sitting room?

The monitoring range of the sensor is 3 meters, 120°. If you'd like to use this product in the sitting room, it will only cover the area within this range.

What kind of litter box works with this deodorizer?

This product works with all kinds of cat litter boxes. For open litter boxes, please this product 20-40cm above the litter box. For enclosed and top entry cat litter boxes, you can directly place this product inside of the box.
